We had a busy weekend and today I spent the day recovering..and folding laundry. Saturday we had Mackenzie's birthday party at the boys and girls club. It was great. The kids had a blast.

Sunday my niece was baptized which was so great. We had a big get together with family. It was nice because it was also my birthday. The kids were sweet. They made be breakfast in bed bought me a beautiful mom and baby figurine. I have one for each child now...I love it.
Not to much is happening this week. I have to work today....and that's about it. Everyone is fairly healthy. Benjamin has been doing some pretty good night time coughing, but that's just his asthma acting up. Anyways..the weather is warming up again and the snow will be gone, I'm happy about that. Bring on spring.

Nothing exciting is happening around here. We've been hanging around the house waiting for winter to pass us by. Everyone is finally feeling better which is great. I think the crazy weather has everyone's immune system up in arms. There seems to be a lot going around. We have a busy weekend.....though.

We had a great weekend. We spent Friday night with family, having dinner, watching my nephew play hockey. It was great. My nephew even scored a hat trick. Saturday the girls had a sleepover and today was a recovery day..

I have a busy week ahead. I have to work, Mackenzie is finally having her birthday party and my niece is being baptized. So much going on, but I'm looking forward to it all.

Snow snow and more snow. We got hit today, which doesn't bother me to much as this winter the snow has been minimal to say the least and it will all be melted in the few days. Benjamin loves the snow...

Tomorrow is a pd day for the kids and we are heading out to visit family. Tomorrow marks one year since an accident that took the life of my precious niece. We're planning on just spending some time together as a family for love and support. It feels like just yesterday and time hasn't healed any wounds. We feel just as devastated as we did a year ago. The girls have been so effected by this and it breaks my heart. Please pray for my family as the next couple days are going to be so incredibly difficult. Give your loved ones a little extra love....life can change in an instant.

Well it finally got us...we've been sick. I started feeling awful Monday night and by Tuesday morning I was done. Jon ended up coming home early to take of Benjamin. I haven't been sick in forever so I was due, but it knocked me down. I'm still not feeling 100% and am having symptoms very similar to bronchitis, but I am managing. Mackenzie came down with the stomach bug Saturday morning. She is still off as well, but was thankful that it missed her birthday by mere hours. Benjamin has been pretty good. He has a cough and is wheezy, but no fever or change in his normal self so he's good. I'm hoping that this is it for us and am blaming the weird weather.

Benjamin had his first haircut yesterday. Jon distracted and I cut. Overall I think it turned out pretty good. Its amazing how a little hair cut totally changes how he looks. He's looking more and more like a little boy and less and less like my baby :( .

Anyways, that's all around here. Its been pretty quiet as we've been trying to recoup. Here are some pics from the last few days.

I have been sick so we've been laying low.. I did manage to get out to TRU today with Benjamin to pick up some birthday presents. It was funny watching him run around the store. He gravitated to the CAT tractors. He also got to sit in a really expensive toy. So cute.

Thankfully no one else is sick in the house and I am on the mend.....

My babies are growing up...and it makes me want to cry. Mackenzie, my oldest, will be 9 on Friday. Its so hard to believe. Is this a sign of things to come?

Today I took Benjamin to see his allergy doctor. She was so happy with his progress and how he recovered from his cold. He's only had one cold which is fantastic and we've managed to reduce his inhaler even more. We also got a plan for his eczema. He has started having patches on his body which apparently can be connected to asthma. We go back in May and he will be retested for allergies. So it was another successful appointment. We don't see any doctors now until we go back to developmental follow up in March. I feel so blessed.

Well today was the last day of holidays....We went to church and then spent the day relaxing and getting ready for the week to come. It was a nice quiet day. I love days like today where we can just relax, play, watch movies and hang out. It was great. I'm hoping everyone can get into the swing and have a great week!

The weekend is here and for some reason they always seem to be busier then the weekdays. Luckily Jon is home and groceries are done so tomorrow we can relax and do the things we love, like go to the market and over to friends for dinner. I also have to get the kids back onto some sort of bedtime routine. The slumber party last night went over like a lead balloon and everyone was up at 3am.....grrr. So the next few nights its back on track. I'm looking forward to getting back into the swing of things..maybe I'll be able to keep my house a little more organized. I feel like its been a disaster since the first day of holidays. Anyways, everyone is well around here. We are enjoying the mild temperatures. The girls built a fort, but its slowly melting away. I know they love the snow, but I am enjoying the warmer weather.

Slumber parties and craft time have been the theme of Christmas holidays...Tonight is no exception. We rarely let them stay up late, but they were playing so nicely we just let them play. Its so nice when they're getting along so great.

The girls sometimes get pushed off to the side as a lot of my attention is stolen by Benjamin. I understand they need their mommy time. I guess because they are 7 and 9 and very independent I rely on them to take care of themselves and forget that they need me just as much. So yesterday I took them to see "We bought A Zoo" which was a great movie by the way and tonight we had a wii "just dance" party. We had lots of fun. I love them so much. They are such good, polite, well, behaved sweet little girls. They make me so proud.

I haven't left the house in days. Benjamin and I have been on winter lockdown since he hasn't been feeling well. I have only left the house for 2 hours in the last 8 days. I'm feeling a little housebound...Tomorrow I'm taking the girls to a movie so that will be a good out. I have to work one day this week to, which I also look forward to. Its 4 hours alone..which is a rarity. Anyways, there isn't much going on. Benjamin's cold is getting better. The fact that we didn't have to visit a doctor or emerge for his cold is amazing. It may be minor to some people but major for us. Its an indication that he is getting stronger and so are his lungs. We see the asthma doctor again on Monday. I think she'll be pretty happy with him.
