6

We're up to 6mls/per hour. Yay. I'm so excited that Benjamin is doing so well tolerating his feeds. The surgeon was in today and said that we can start pushing him a little more once we can put a bag on his stoma...that way we can keep a better eye on whats coming out. Right now we have a pretty complex method...lol. We use a diaper and we wrap it around his tummy horizontally to catch everything that comes out.. Because he has an small open area still we can't put the bag on yet. Hopefully this week sometime it will be healed enough.

Benjamin had a good day. He was very quiet. He seemed to fuss when I put him down, but settle when I would hold him...I guess he's manipulating me already. He loves laying on his tummy now, and we put him into a sleeper. He looks like such a big boy in clothes.

Anyways all is well for now. I'm carefully optimistic that things will continue to go well. He has more bloodwork on Friday. Hopefully his hemoglobin will be up, especially because he's on an iron supplement. We're praying that his bilirubin will go down as well...Continued prayers and support are so important even through the stable times... we appreciate them all.
